When things felt heavy or off-track, gratitude became my go-to practice—a gentle reminder of what I’ve already achieved, the lives I’m here to support, and the dreams I continue to build upon.

Hello hello dear listener welcome back to another episode gosh here we are at episode 93 of the alchemy mindset podcast and today's episode is all about cultivating gratitude how did i come up with this great question i think at the moment within my sound baths i'm guiding my participants to just have that sense of gratitude for themselves or something or someone or somewhere at the end of their sound bath but. Also to really feel into it and also coming into that end of year scenario where we're in that place of reflection we're looking back at the year maybe we're thinking about what we did or didn't do maybe we're in that place of going oh my gosh i feel like i've wasted time or nothing's happened like this can also be coming around the fact that you're not even looking at the end of the year but it's just that perhaps things haven't been going the way you want them to lately or you feel like that manifestation is just not coming into its fruition as you'd like i feel like i've just been tuning into this energy of gratitude and how important that is when we are in these places and times within our life and that expressing and reflecting on gratitude shouldn't be just like one of those one-off things but done on a regular basis i know add it to the list of all the regular things you have to do like drink more water and make sure you brush your teeth wash your hair wash your clothes that kind of thing um get your car serviced you know add it to the list of all the things you have to do but honestly sometimes gratitude doesn't have to be a long lengthy process it can be just that short snippet in time within your day where you can just breathe in and breathe out and just tune into that aspect of something that you're deeply grateful for. And there's so much that we can be grateful for within our life. Like it's not just one thing that we need to specifically aim it at. It can be so much and it can be just these little small things in our life, like what might feel like really trivial things like the pen that you have on your desk to write notes with or your laptop or the fact that you have electricity coming through your light switches. Clean water out of your taps to drink. That you can go to the supermarket at free will and buy your favorite you know tea or chips or dip or whatever you want chocolate whatever things that you want whenever you want so all those little things that sometimes feel like they're just you know those day-to-day things that we do and we just take for granted that we can do them that's where gratitude can come into as well as those bigger more powerful aspects of our life or broader aspects of our life so going back to the intro of this podcast why did i come up with it because this is what i'm sensing and tuning into and this is what i feel like can really help uplift and shift your energy and your mindset when you are feeling in those places of lack of abundance lack of the thing coming forwards like you're stuck in a ditch of emotional turmoil or you're feeling like nothing is going your way or you're just you know you're just having a bit of a crappy time it can also be really great for you to do when you find yourself things flowing in abundance when everything is going your way when you just cannot believe how amazing life is the more you tune into gratitude the more you're cultivating that energy that the universe loves to pick up on and then give you more of so So it's in a way I see it that the universe wants you to know that you are grateful for all that you have right now. Like every single thing that you have, knowing that it's going to give you what you want. What you desire, what you're calling in. Of course it will, because the universe is limitless. There's abundance of everything. It's not going to hold it back from you and go, well, until you've experienced the gratitude, I'm going to give this to you. But get brownie points behind what you're manifesting or what you want or the way life is flowing for you. The universe loves that energy of gratitude it loves that uplifted expression of thankfulness gratefulness joy love and when you're in that space in that mindset it lifts your energy so things in your life flow better and much more easily so for me personally i will share i've returned to an attitude of gratitude many times this year when i found myself needing a pick-me-up, been feeling a bit down in the dumps when i've been feeling a bit stuck or lackluster for example i've been birthing lots of new things lots of courses workshops coaching just really putting myself all in for what i want to achieve in my business this year and for those moments where i've felt challenged or like difficulties are coming up or that things aren't really going my way or that sense of will this work out am i going to get what i want i've come back to the place of gratitude because that. Is one of my easiest mindset energy tools that. I have in my toolbox that I can pick out and go right I've got like two minutes when I'm in the shower what am I deeply grateful for and it helps me to remind me of what I'm here to create who I'm to support and how much I've achieved to date so the absolute trick about feeling gratitude or doing an exercise of expressing gratitude is not just to sit there and list things out that you're grateful for like a shopping list that's easy right I'm grateful for this laptop this microphone I'm grateful for my office chair for this space I have I'm grateful for my house blah blah blah it's to deeply feel in your heart the feelings of gratitude and to really just sit and be in that space and place of gratitude within your heart so it may mean that shopping list gets done a little bit slower like i am deeply grateful for this podcast that i've created i am so grateful that i get to share my thoughts my experiences my knowledge to all those beautiful listeners out there to you and that it's received and the feedback that i receive and the feelings of joy i have once I know I've put another episode out there and then I've shared the episode and that it's going to help someone in some way shape or form and I just love the freedom that I get within this. Platform and this way of communicating to you my dear listener so in that space and time I'm really feeling into the feelings of gratitude for that like I'm just feeling love and happiness and thankfulness and joy for having a podcast and all the things that it represents for me. So the trick is here, don't list the things like a shopping list because that's easy, is to feel the feelings. And when we feel the feelings, we are cultivating more and more of that energy that helps flow through into those manifestations you want to bring in. Feelings and emotions are the key to anything that you want to achieve in life, because that's what we're here to experience the emotions and the feelings. So in this episode, it's my intention that together we take a moment to express some deep gratitude and thanks for at least five things in your life right now. So here is the deal. If you want to do this as a meditation, you can. If you want to do this as a journaling process, go grab your journal. If you are doing this while you're on the move, like you're exercising, walking, driving, you can do this as well. You're just going to be in the present moment of tuning into those feelings either way if you want to press pause on this and come back to it when you want space and time to do it undistracted you can but if you know you're on the move and walking you can still do this you can still go through this podcast episode go through this experience and feel the feelings right and then when you want to later on come back and use this exercise again and do it in your journal or do it as a meditation so get yourself super comfortable grab your journal if you need to press pause if you have to okay now that you've unpaused this episode and you've come back settle yourself into a comfortable place just get yourself into a comfortable place and I just want you to just start tuning into your breathing feeling your breath as it moves in and out. And your breath is always that anchor point when it comes to any form of meditation because it's so natural and it's so easy and it's just with us all the time it's an automatic process, It's an easy anchor point for your mind. So as you breathe in and out, you might want to take a deep breath in and hold it at the top and then exhale out, release, let go. And relax yourself in a way that makes you comfortable for the next few moments. So if you need to make any adjustments to how you're positioned, how you're seated, just do so. If you are on the move, right, while you're walking or doing something, just take a moment to like tune into your breath and breathe in and out. And just feel yourself in the movements and the motion of whatever you're doing right now. I'm a big fan listening to podcasts while i'm doing a washing. Or driving so it's you know take a moment to like connect to something physical that you're doing at this moment now either in your journal or you can just reflect through your mind, i want you to think of one thing in your life that reflects your living circumstances whether that be your house your car your favorite teacup the coffee machine your washing machine your swimming pool in the backyard whatever it is your bed your favorite bath towel i'm not sure one thing in your life that reflects your living circumstances that you are deeply and truly grateful and thankful for i want you to just write that out or tune into that item or that thing and really go through these motions of gratitude why are you so grateful for it what does it give you what does it help you with what does it support you with like how flippin lucky are you to have this thing in your life so just reflect on that one thing that supports your living circumstances, how lucky you are. Then, and if you need to pause and just have a bit more space to write or feel into this, do so. But number two is when you're ready, I invite you to feel deep gratitude for someone in your life, a family member, a loved one, your fur baby, a friend, a colleague, your neighbour, someone you feel deeply gratitude for in your life like honestly who do you heartfelt feel grateful for i'm so grateful for, blah blah because blah blah and then you know list some of the things that you love about blah blah, some of the things that you love about this person some of the things that this person helps you with or reminds you of or is there for maybe it's even your cleaner. Or the barista at your local coffee shop or the person who packed your shopping at the supermarket who are you deeply grateful for like i'm so thankful for this person in my life, they make my life so much better because and really feel the feelings like breathe that into the heart i am so thankful and grateful for maybe in that sense when you're tuning into the heart there's a color there's a feeling there's an emotion there's a symbol or an image of what that gratitude is for that person how amazing, Beautiful. So if you need to pause this, please do so and then come back when you're ready for number three. So number three is your finances. Oh, fun times. Don't we just love money? So why are you so grateful for the money that you have? The money that you earn, the money that you receive, the money that you find in a hidden pocket in your purse or under the couch or in the center console of your car. I found money the other day in a little bag in a wardrobe and it was like, it's just loose change. And I was like, where the hell did this come from? What is this? But I'm so grateful. I mean, that's money I can use for donations. I can use it when I need to tip something. I can use it for when you just need a little bit of odd change. So with your money that you have, that you get to spend on bills to support your life, the luxuries you get to buy yourself the way it flows to you and what you have achieved with it be deeply and completely grateful and thankful for the money that you have the money that you get to save the money you get to spend the money that fuels your car puts clothes on your body, pays for the electricity that powers your tv but even pays for services in your community you know waste removal the garbage collection repairing streets all those things like the money you have how deeply grateful you are your finances and. Feel those feelings and even feel the feelings of more money flowing to you like a river, like an absolute river of wealth flowing to you, like washing around you. Feel those feelings in your heart. And again, maybe there's a color, a symbol, a feeling. Now, when you're ready, if you need to press pause, you can if you want a bit more time on that. Otherwise number four the things you get to do with your free time oh don't we love that free time your hobbies your interests the things you love to do for yourself what are the things you get to do with your free time what are you so grateful for for when you have free time that you get to choose whatever it is that you want to do with it catching up with friends going for walks exercise going to the movies doing activities with your kids watching tv seeing a sunset going shopping reading a book or even the holidays you get to spend with your free time and we all have free time i know we love to say how busy we are but we all somewhere in there have free time, so what are you deeply grateful for for the things you get to do with your free time, feel those feelings what is that how amazing how exciting how fun that you get to do all these things with your free time wow what a blessing to have some free time. And if you feel like you are stretched for free time feel the feelings as if you already have the free time that's also another beautiful trick because side note subconscious mind doesn't know what's real or imaginary so if you're imagining yourself having free time and what that would feel like subconscious mind goes oh you've got free time and believe it or not it will start creating free time for you the choice is yours as to how you use that free time, okay cool so if you need to press pause you need a bit more time on this topic or section please do but number five think of one thing you would like to bring into your life what is that manifestation. Now, feel the deep gratitude you have for it as if it's happened now. That one thing you would like to bring into your life, what is that manifestation? Feel the feelings of deep gratitude as if it's happened right now, as if you're living it and breathing it right now, or it's already happened. What are you deeply grateful for about your life, knowing that it's happened or that it's in your life now? What does that feel like for you in your body your energy your heart your mind even your external environment like what does life look like now that one might take a little longer and might involve a lot more flow of imagination of creativity of feelings so please take your time with that don't rush it think of the one thing you would like to bring into your life what is that beautiful manifestation that you're calling in now feel the deep gratitude as if you have it right now or that it happened like one hour ago and you're living life because it's already there what does that feel like what does it look like what does it feel like in your body your energy and your heart how amazing how amazing how amazing that you get to live a life like that, to really feel those feelings. Again, maybe there's a colour, a symbol, something significant that you recognise about it. Amazing amazing so when you're finished and if you need to pause this and you need to spend a bit more time you can or if you want to come back to this episode bookmark it save it in your, playlists however you like to save your podcast and come back to this exercise when you need that little uplift when you need that little reminder of like holy effing wow my life is amazing. And of course you can change these you don't have to follow these same points all the time, if you need to just take the time to focus on that one thing the one thing that you're so grateful for right now like I honestly can vouch that this has shifted and changed my energy and my mindset when I've needed it most and it's something that should not be overlooked or dismissed.
